Education

*Graduated high school as Valedictorian in 2007 and was offered a full scholarship to Western Kentucky University. *Chemistry major (ACS certified) and Mathematics minor at WKU. *Graduated from WKU summa cum laude with a 3.92 cumulative GPA in 2011. *4.0 GPA in all of my science and math courses. *President's Scholar and a member of the honors program all 8 semesters at WKU.

Experience

* I scored a 33 overall on the ACT with a perfect score on the science section. *I was the first student in my county to pass the AP Chemistry test. *2008-11 - I was a public Chemistry tutor at WKU. There I had plenty of tutoring experience in General, Organic, Quantitative, and Physical Chemistry. *2009 - I became a Teacher's Assistant in a Chemistry course at WKU. *2010 - I was promoted to the instructor of that same course. Between 2010-2011 I instructed four sections of that course. *2009-2011 - I served as a Teacher's Assistant for multiple Chemistry courses ranging from Intro. to Chemistry to Organic Chemistry II. *2010 - I was selected as WKU's Outstanding Physical Chemistry student. *2011 - I was voted as WKU's Outstanding Chemistry Major. *2011 - I began teaching high school math and chemistry, which I still do to this day *I have plenty of teaching and tutoring experience in High school Chemistry, General College Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, Algebra, Geometry, ACT Math and Science, and 6-8th grade Math and Science. My last semester at WKU, I accepted a job at a local private school, Dayspring Academy, teaching a Chemistry class. When I graduated, I was offered a scholarship to earn my Chemistry PhD at UT Knoxville, but I decided to become a teacher. I remained at Dayspring Academy, where I now teach Chemistry, Geometry, and other various math and science courses for both middle and high school. I tutor for the same reason I became a teacher. I feel that there is no job more rewarding than to help a child or young adult grow. The best moments in teaching are those when you see the light bulb go off in a youth's mind. Knowing that I have the opportunity to positively affect someone's life means a lot to me. I work to find the gap in knowledge that is preventing the young man or woman from achieving excellence in their science or math class. When we find and close the gap, we can then watch the student succeed.

Hobbies

I am a big Green Bay Packers fan. I enjoy doing anything with people, but nothing very extravagant. I like to get a group and go out to dinner, and maybe bowling afterwards. I also enjoy sitting in and watching a movie just as much.
